Do you work from home or work the typical 9 to 5 job in an office or whatever shift hours that you are on and haven’t really took a long vacation in a while? Me talking about a vacation is not you taking off 1 or 2 days to get some errands done around the house or to fix your kids bike. I’m talking about leaving the home for a week or more to do something with the family without you doing work related stuff. I have so many vacation days and it’s just crazy because I hardly ever take off work. I actually can’t because no one does the side gig’s that I do at work. I’m a computer tech number 1 but do some material handler and team lead stuff on my shift with no extra title and no extra pay. When I’m not there for 1 day, the work zone is a mess and people confused what goes where or how do we get box’s to box up the CPU’s?
It’s June 15th right now and I have 85 hours of paid vacation time at work and get 16.87 hours of vacation time each month because I’ve been with the company for over 12 year’s. Every year I take 6 working days off to take a family vacation out-of-state. The rest of the 3 weeks that I have, I may use about 2 weeks of it but it’s taking off 1 day here and there. I’m actually doing my out-of-state vacation again the first week of July of this year so I won’t be on the blog or online in general that much to write fresh content and update my WordPress pages. Hopefully a few folks will submit a blog post during this time since I’ll have my laptop with me but will check my blog out 2 or 3 times during my trip for no more than an hour to approve blog posts and blog comments if needed. It’s a vacation and that means getting rid of the work stress, endless bills in the mail and just people in general so don’t expect much out of me that week. lol
The economy is still bad in the USA and overall it’s just bad in all the countries and I understand that some people may not have the money to take a vacation out-of-state but you can still find things to do in your own state when off work for a week. Go to the local beach everyday, play with your kids and do things with them. Bond a little more with your kids and family and spend less time on the computer or doing work related things. A vacation away from the real world can actually help you feel a lot better and this can be a healthy decision to lay low for a week or so. The stress will go away, you may forget about those arguments with the neighbors or fellow co-workers…etc
I’m taking off work a little more this year as the year comes to an end. Between the work stress and worrying about the affiliate marketing I do online, the moderating I do on the webmaster forum, a vacation is just what the doctor ordered. Ok, you heard me wine a little, now it’s your turn.
When was the last time that you took a vacation away from the real world which also includes working online?
Why are you making excuse’s to not take a vacation? You can still have fun without having to spend a lot of money.
Got a lot of stress lately? Instead of popping some pills to feel better, take a vacation or a few days and hang out with your family and just have some fun. A vacation is the cure to getting rid of the stress from work or from life.
I’ll be relaxing on the beach the whole first week of July and will be an alcoholic for about 7 days in total. Trust me, I need this trip so bad and will come back feeling like a new person or till I go back to work to find out the work zone is not organized and a total mess. lol

I think you pointed some clear cut points, as i’ve been blogging since a long time. I think i need a vacation too.
A vacation might actually get the juices flowing and you will come back with fresh idea’s for some blogging.
Great post , but the harsh truth is that we need money wherever we want to go to vacation.
And that thought that once I earn more i will get vacation always somehow fades out. But this summer I earned a lot online and I’m going to a nice vacation in Greece.

My in-laws are from Greece and and half of them live here in the USA. I love greek food and now i’m hungry. 2 more weeks to this day and I’ll be on my way to another state for a 7 day vacation. Downside is I need new tires and breaks for my car so I need to make a little extra more money in the next 2 weeks to not have to use MR. credit card a lot.
