Site Sensor – Monitor Your Blog’s Uptime Plus More

Earlier this month Copyblogger media launched a new business and it is call Site Sensor. This is an amazing piece of software to be using and of course it’s not free. It shouldn’t be free anyways with all the features available. Do you worry about your blog when you are not physically at the computer? Don’t you wish you could get a text message, phone call or an email (can be read on mobile phone) when your blog is down or something is just wrong? Site Sensor can do all of this plus a lot more.

I’m a member already, here is a sneak peek of the member dashboard in which I didn’t show you much. lol

Below is some of included features you will get with one of their plan’s.

This is real-time monitoring which is what we all want in any type of monitoring software.

Server Checks

  • HTTP & HTTPS Server Checking
  • SMTP Server Checking
  • Ping Checking
  • Site Statistics – Uptime and response time of each site added
  • Checks from US & UK

  • iPhone App – Get updates to your mobile device
  • SMS Notifications (U.S. Only) – Text messages to mobile phone
  • Automated Phone Call Notifications
  • Unlimited Email Alerts

WordPress Checks

  • Privacy Check – Makes sure nothing being blocked to prevent search engines from indexing
  • RSS Feed Check – Checks to make sure it’s working properly
  • Sitemap Check – Make sure most recent post is showing
  • WP Update Check – Let’s you know if your blog needs an update
  • Keyword Search – Content Checking

If your blog means a lot to you or your business, the uptime is one thing that you need to keep track of. You could be out food shopping and something happen’s to where your blog is offline but yet you are not aware of this till you get home to resolve it. If you had gotten an email, a text message or a phone call about the downtime, you could have placed a call to have it resolved with your hosting provider or have a staff member of your’s take care of the issue or send out a message to your subscribers/social followers about the hosting problems.

If you take a look at the Site Sensor’s homepage, you can read a lot more about this monitoring software. I have this for free because I’m a client of Web Synthesis web hosting. I recommended purchasing an account and test it out for a month. See if you like all the features that it provides to you. It’s a 30 day money back guarantee anyways.

If you already been using Site Sensor, please post a review in the comment section below. Both positive and negative reviews are welcomed.
