Learn Web Development & Designing The Cheap Way

Have you had a change in heart and want to learn how to design and code your own websites or personal websites? Do you just not know where to start to learn how to do this? Things change often in the web development world and not staying current with these changes or continually to experiment will make you lose this knowledge and not be able to put out your best work. One place where I believe you will get solid information from is SitePoints Bookstore.

Whether you just want to learn how to code phone apps, create stunning WordPress themes, create custom websites, you have to learn from the best to be able to put your best effort into developing a website or features for a client. The books on the SitePoint store is cheap for the amount of knowledge that you will be getting. You can even get a preview of the book before purchasing it. Just add your email address into a certain section when viewing a books sales page to get a sample chapter to read. I don’t think any other bookstores online does this. By doing this, you will know if the book is written well or just garbage.

Sitepoint.com has been around for over 10 years and is well trusted in the Web development industry for their excellent knowledge in this field. Look at their official blog for up-to-date information in the web development/online world industry. If you are a web developer and need to ask some questions, just visit their forum but do not spam and follow their rules. They strict on that forum and will ban you for life if you do something wrong. An important feature that people need to do when developing a website is the Responsive Design. Everyone has a smart phone these days and surf the web like they was on their laptop. Making your designs responsive ready (viewable on all mobile devices) is very important in this day and age. Learn how to do this with the book I just liked you to. You can even get help on their forum with this part of developing.

The amount of knowledge that you can learn for a fairly cheap price in the SitePoint bookstore, you would actually save a lot of money from not going to an actual school which costs way more money. Buy the books when you are actually ready to sit down and read them and practice what you learn. Go at your own pace instead of being forced to learn things in a fast past environment when going to a school. I hate rushing into things before I master something first. Getting into Web development and designing is not that hard if you use the books on the SitePoint store and go at it at your own pace. If you are not dedicated to switching to a career like this, then don’t buy any of the books. Think of this, you investing in a future career that can make you big bucks but you need to be dedicated to this field and willing to continue your education.

Freelance developers charge their own rate and can make big money but they need to put out top-notch professional work or they get a bad reputation online and will have a hard time landing big project’s. Like I said, don’t rush into this type of field till you feel comfortable that if a client throws you a curveball in his project, that you will be able to conquer it and get the job done.

If any of you web developers have bought a book from SitePoint, please post your review in the blog comment section. Spammers need not to reply.
