How many times have you run across a website selling adsense secret’s? Or an eBook on how to make a living from Google adsense in X amount of days? These books/guides are a bunch of crap and don’t buy them. I’ll admit, I did promote 1 or two of them in the past but they was still crappy ebooks with outdated information. In fact, adsense eBooks remind me of this amazing website: buymystupidebook.com.
Let’s get real, if you want to earn a good amount of money from Google adsense then teach yourself how to by experimenting with different ad placements, colors, ad size’s…etc. It’s not that hard to learn how to use Google adsense on your own for free. Yes it may take longer to achieve some good money but at least you won’t use out dated information from an ebook that could lead you to getting a disabled adsense account or poor earnings.

- Adsense YouTube Channel – Video’s pertaining to Google Adsense in a variety of topic’s.
Ok, I posted 2 good resource links in this blog post for Google Adsense tips and I know you want more tips but some of the other sites I visit seem a bit shady when it comes to giving out adsense tips. Seems like they just pushing to sell us folks a product related to Google Adsense. So many people chasing that dream of making a living from Google Adsense and some are actually doing this and some get the wrong advice and get a disabled account. If you put all your egg’s into one basket and only depend on Adsense for an income, you setting yourself up for a disaster. This is important, you need to have some sort of backup revenue source going on your site besides using Google Adsense. When one fails, the other source may pickup and you won’t lose all revenue coming from your site each month.
What I like to do is visit popular webmaster forums and either ask Adsense questions or read threads in the Adsense section. You can usually tell when someone is giving you a bunch of B.S. but I’d rather talk on forums then buy an ebook that has the same old information we can find by searching Google. You know the, provide original content, blend the colors well, create adsense channels (target them), build the site around high paying keywords…etc
An about the high paying keywords talk online. If you pick a high paying keyword to build your adsense web site around, you will fail for sure. Why you ask? Well, if you pick a high paying niche and don’t provide high quality unique content with excellent rankings, you won’t earn that much money at all. Maybe 1 or 2 clicks every few days for a good price but it won’t make you hundreds a month without constant unique traffic. Pick a niche that you love and very familiar with. Don’t create a autoblog because that era is over and Google will slap a penalty on you for no original content anyway’s. If you build a quality web site, make an average income with Google adsense, you could always sell that web site since it has steady revenue source and ranking well for its targeted keywords.
I’m going to refer you back to the Official Google Adsense blog again. To make sure that you understand the do’s and don’ts of Google Adsense, check out this section called: Program Policies. It’s amazing how many people fail with Google because they don’t actually read their policies and know them.
Have a great weekend and if you got something to say about Adsense ebooks, drop me a blog comment because I think they are totally useless these day’s. I can fake a adsense screenshot easily and make it look legit so don’t believe Google Adsense screenshots when you see them. All you need is Photoshop and extra time to make it look legit. Don’t get suckered into buying ebooks that been passed around the internet for year’s. A big tip-off is the old school landing page that looks like it cost $500 to make the web site. If they was making ton’s of money each month with adsense, they’d have a cool looking futuristic website that looks will blow you out of your mind.
Have a profitable week and don’t forget to look into an alternative revenue source for your web site. Don’t always count on earning a paycheck from Google. They can ruin your life within a few seconds whether it’s an algorithm penalty or disabled Adsense account. Stay away from Google Adsense ebooks because you can learn from reading threads on forums, reading blog posts and following the Google Adsense blog with tips. Most of all experiment on your own. Find out what works for you and not what works for someone else.

@Derek: That was a rather hard hitting post
Backup revenue – great advice. I recommend using Chitika from day 1, they are one of the few reputable companies with a product that can co-exist with Adsense.
High paying keywords – Bang on. It’s better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small crocodile in the ocean.
Autoblogs – You would be surprised to see how many people are still making these because some eBook or internet marketing course told them it’s a great approach.
Faking adsense revenue – You don’t need photoshop, you can simply use a Firefox plugin to change text to whatever you want it to be.
Chitika is my backup, I’ve used them on my forum (used to own it) before. There ads also work on blogs as well and there is a plugin for this also.
I don’t have FF installed so I didn’t know about that method. Yes, i’m a IE guy.
@Derek: The reason I mention Chitika as a nearly mandatory substitute is because everyone can’t start making money by selling ‘adsense ebooks’ as alternate revenue stream
Same for creating a mailing list, all the other revenue options take much more time than juts plugging in banner code from another publishing network.
SourceEditor for FireFox might make you a convert
It’s super easy, you click on any text on a page and change it to whatever you want it to be.
I may cave in on FF, the other moderators on v7n, keep getting on my case to download it. lol
Lol, I didn’t know people are still active on v7n. Haven’t logged in there in last 2-3 years. Now that you remind of the forum, I will give it a try this weekend.
You should stop by, it’s active, we slow on the weekends though. We a tight community and try to rid of the spam on there.
