The web is a wonderful place filled with information, resources and products. But lots of it and because it is so vast, there are filters in place to guide the user through the large maze. These filters come in the form of search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Further down the pipe are users who type in queries looking for answers to their questions on everything from where to eat, who will fix their leaky faucet or roof, which car dealer has the best deals and who has good rates on moving service.
This is where you come in with your business website and help them.

However unless you have a web presence they’re not going to find you, they’re going to find your competitor. If you don’t want this to be your situation, then get online and when you do you will want to advertise your website in the following three places.
1. Google Places -
Google being the largest search engine on the web is a logical first step in your local online marketing efforts. Listing your company website here is a no brainer as it’s the go to spot for all things local; especially for products and service providers. Getting listed in Google Places is free and all it takes is about 20 minutes of your time to put the details together and submit them. When you claim your spot, you will be able to list your company’s name, address, website URL and even include photos and video. If you need help with doing so, we advise going to YouTube typing in “how to list in google places” and then seek out a reputable video for step by step instructions.
2. Craigslist -
Although listing here is not permanent like the other two options we mention, Craigslist is still a formidable website for getting noticed and for driving eyeballs to your business. Get creative and think of a compelling offer that would entice people to click over and visit you or want to find out more about your company and services. Make it good and make it interesting and you might be surprised at the results.
3. Yelp -
This site is a must for any local small business owner including moving companies and other service providers. The reason this site is a must is because consumers flock to the web looking for reviews on everything from shoes to hotels and restaurants to, of course – local merchants. Not only that, but Google also places strong weight on sites that allow and display consumer reviews. So for these two reasons and more, Yelp is a must for you. What you do is first create a free account, secondly add details about your business and then most important of all – make it a point to let all your clients know that you gladly accept feedback on your business; via reviews on the Yelp site. Good or bad, reviews are a positive for the local small business owner.
The three sites above are the top sites you should advertise your moving company and any small business on. Try them today for results tomorrow.
