Do you own a dog, or rather does he own you? That can be what happens when you get a pet. You can grow quite attached to them. When that happens, just like anything else that you really care about you want to take care of it. You want him to have a happy, healthy long life so you can spend all the time possible with him you can.
Part of taking care of your four legged friend is making sure he or she gets plenty of exercise, eats right, and gets a ton of positive attention. There is one activity you can take up that will help you do just that. Why not try some advanced training for you dog. That training can be in the form of agility dog training.
Agility dog training includes teaching your dog to run through an obstacle course filled with jumps, tunnels, weave poles and more. On your command he runs through the course based on the commands you call out. The goal is to have him run through the course as fast as possible without making mistakes, which will penalize his time.
To get started you need you, your dog of course,…and some dog agility training equipment. Instructional guide are available on the internet and in books. However, dog agility classes are probably the best way to go. In addition to these things you definitely need time and patience.
Put all these things together and you will have all the ingredients you need to keep your keep your dog in shape while building the bond between you and him that will always be cherished.
